H1: Should You Renovate or Extend? My Personal Feasibility Advice for Your Leicestershire Home
It’s the question that starts every client conversation: Should I renovate or build a new extension? As your Architectural Designer, I provide clear, objective advice based on feasibility, cost, and design potential.
The Process I Use to Advise You:
I Conduct a Measured Building Survey: I first establish the true constraints and opportunities of your existing home.
I Analyse Lifestyle vs. Space:
Renovate if... You just need better flow, better light, or an updated look (e.g., removing a non-structural wall). It's cheaper and quicker.
Extend if... You need a dedicated extra bedroom, a utility room, or significantly more square footage (e.g., an expansive new kitchen). It adds the most value.
I Calculate Return on Investment (ROI): We look at the value ceiling in your Leicestershire neighbourhood. There’s no point over-extending if you won't recoup the cost.
My goal is always to find the solution that best meets your needs without overspending.
