I offer a design and build service that brings together architectural design and skilled craftsmanship. With over 17 years’ experience spanning carpentry, construction, and architectural practice, I combine hands-on building knowledge with a considered design approach to deliver projects from concept through to completion.
Holding an MA in Architecture alongside a City & Guilds qualification in Carpentry, I work across a range of scales from bespoke joinery and interior refurbishments to extensions and building repairs. My work places particular emphasis on natural materials, especially timber, and is shaped by a respect for traditional construction methods and the character of existing buildings.
This dual background allows me to design with a clear understanding of how buildings are assembled and constructed on site. As a result, my designs are practical, efficient, and cost-conscious, helping to minimise surprises during construction and ensure a smoother process from design through to build.

My background in both architectural design and hands-on construction allows me to work comfortably across design and build. I understand how buildings are put together on site, which informs practical, well-resolved designs and a smoother construction process.
